How did he "cook his own goose"? He never mentioned BestBuy in the video. In 
fact, Best Buy was never brought into it until Best Buy chose to take 
action..and spotlight the issue unto themselves.

So it is okay for an employer to term an employee because they don't like 
something that was posted on a blog etc? There was no slander...just some fun 
poked at Apple fans (and if anything, Apple should be upset, not BB). Freedom 
of speech?

What I found amusing about the video (and I'm setting aside production

issues, as I'm familiar with the site generating the veideo), was the

singlemindedness with which the purchaser goes after an iphone, which, IMHO,

is frequently accurate about iphone fans.  I mean, heck, if you're so

obsessed with getting that little apple on your product, buy a sticker and

put it on a phone that works.



As far as the HR ramifications, and speaking as an employment lawyer who

represents both employers and employees, the guy cooked his own goose, and

no reasonable employer would *not* fire him on the spot.
