Thanks for the words of encouragement, Edward.  I don’t use an exchange server, 
local Outlook only – I was trying to sync via both Bluetooth and LAN, hence the 
need for sync via Classic.  Never got it to work as advertised.

One suggestion - you have direct Palm support available. You may want to 
contact Palm directly. I found that helped me greatly in getting over the 
learning curve. Outlook synchronization should be able to be done wirelessly 
without using anything from classic - assuming your exchange environment is not 
locked down tighter than a drum (as is my company). 

Give the phone a little time and I think you may find it is better than your 
initial reaction suggest. Also, not supporting the sim card is not as bad, 
either, since the phone can act as a USB drive for transferring files to, and 
from, the phone.
