Pocket Mirror's Notes app (from Chapura) is wonderful. Fully searchable,
and syncable with Outlook. And it does not have the size limit the old Palm
OS Memos app did. Supports categories too.

Subject: [Treo] My Dad & His MemoPad Dilemma (webOS)

About 3 months ago, my dad got himself a Palm Pre Plus to replace his aging
Treo 755p, which had replaced his 600p, which had replaced his Palm III,
etc. Needless to say, he was very happy with Palm OS and new his way about
the platform with ease.

Long story short, last night, he tells me that one thing on his Pre bugs the
heck out of him. On his Treo, he kept a Memopad category called
"Restaurants" where he could jot down the name and details of particularly
interesting places to dine (he travels a fair bit). However, now his notes
are all jumbled together on his Pre and he can't find anything.

I asked him "Can't you search on the city and find notes that include that
place?" His reply was that he often can't remember either the name or the
city, but that he could always just scroll through the Restaurants category
to find something. That's feasible when you have 50-100 memos in a
category, but not feasible when you have 900-1000 memos in total.

So, anyone have any suggestions on quick, easy, and effective ways to fix my
poor dad's Memopad-less situation? He'd sure appreciate any good advice.

TIA.
- Craig
