Holding a grudge can eliminate a lot of future opportunities. As to the original question, I went Treo 700p --> Palm Pre --> HTC EVO 4G. While things are different, I'm much more satisfied with the EVO's hardware than I was the Pre's, and the pros & cons of Android are, IMO, certainly no worse than the pros & cons of webOS. Android has good, if not great, options for every function the 700p offered, so there's little risk unless you're completely unwilling to learn something new.
