I had the same problem with the generic 3com 3c509x (ISA) cards. The
documentation says support is built into the kernel for those cards, and it was,
but the problem was I think I had to set the IRQ's and IO's manually. I read
documentation with how to do that if you added your own module to the disk, but
no documentation for how to set the IRQ and IO for the modules already as part
of the kernel. Anybody have an answer on this?
