I actually stand by RMS, though, in saying that software, being entirely functional, is head and shoulders above cultural works in the importance of being able to modify it.
Maybe Creative Commons should compromise and have an optional "source" clause
that can be tacked on to any of its licenses? That would make a lot of people
happy.
