I'm of two minds about Google in general. Now it seems like they're only  
slightly better than the rest of the proprietary companies when it comes to  
free software: they can only do half the job.

They release the source code for Chromium, but then make their proprietary  
browser Chrome the most popular browser in the world. They create a free  
software mobile operating system, but then they distribute non-free  
applications and libraries with it. I can't wait for Firefox OS to come out,  
but I live in a country where its release date is never mentioned by any of  
the articles about it. And for goodness' sake I hope Mozilla can get free  
software right (even if they don't quite with Firefox).
