Trisquel was replaced with gNewSense here: https://github.com/nylira/prism-break/commit/9ccc117e9260f459b73ac20965251bfd73f81466
It looks to me like someone has some misguided view that Trisquel is somehow magically "infected" or something by being based on Ubuntu. They similarly replaced Linux Mint with Linux Mint Debian Edition.
This is no good. This is supposed to recommend things to new users. I've heard bad things about LMDE, and I know for sure that Trisquel must be much more beginner friendly than gNewSense. People will try one of these distros, get frustrated, and then go right back to Windows or OS X.
