Hi again. Yes. I may do that, anyway...
But, I doubt it has anything to do with ageing. Since that, it was bought exactly a year ago. And, I've never been able to run nouveau in it. The only way I could operate with it, in any distribution, was to add the "nomodeset" parameter to the different kernels, before I installed the proprietary drivers. (Which also, never made it function at "100%"... Since that, it would sometimes "shut down", when doing particular things...)
