I gave you a very specific explanation as to why systemd is being depended on, and even gave you another real-world example of the exact same thing which cropped up some 30 odd years ago. And your only response, apparently, is to give a vague argument from false authority and continue asserting that systemd is being "pushed on the community".

Oh, and then you conclude your message by insignuating that Magic Banana and I are bing uncivil. Well, my response to that is two words: "Prove it."

How about responding to my actual argument? Please, enlighten me as to how it's the choice of individual programmers when it happens with X, but "pushed on the community" when it's systemd.
