Forger iOS, forget get some Libre Software from crappStore (Corsair Store).  
You can jailbreak yor iThing. The best way is get android device, root it,  
deblob (remove all google/device maker's blobbed backd00red spyware  
bloatware)(almost everything from Bloble Play is spyware and/or adware).  
Then, install F-Droid and you will be semi-libre.

I don't think that jailbreak make you more libre, and I think that it is not  
a very good idea. I had jailbroken iphone 3gs, iBad 3, iPhone 5s. But not  
worth it (jailbreak). Almost useless. And, for jailbreak, probably you need  
Macintosh OS or Winbugs.
