Again, it's not only about normal updates. The default browser wasn't maintained for months, which is a huge problem for unsuspecting users. It seems it's because the automated process was a bit too strict (not a bad thing in itself), and is going to be fixed.

And it's been mentioned several times that most people here understand that it takes time and effort.

On the the theme of decentralized maintenance:
I don't know how it's currently done, and how it differs from other distros.
I know that I can participate, and communication on IRC between maintainers seems to work. I know that there are Trisquel mirrors as well.
So, like you, I don't really understand the problem here.
Care to elaborate, anyone?
Is it at the decision level that it's problematic?
