GNOME 3 is not only "touch-oriented".  GNOME 3 has improved on GNOME 2 when  
it comes to using it with a keyboard.  The super key followed by a few  
letters and any application is launched, Alt+[key above Tab] switches between  
windows within an application (whereas Alt+Tab switches between
