I see; that's probably what causes these gray areas around any messages
(right?).
Gray?
There's padding but it ought to be base colored (ie. message text
background) and is here (in any style)
But yes, this causes the padding.
So it looks like I actually have my opinion after all :).

Ah, thanks for the patch, but I'm afraid I've just wasted your time
all 2 minutes???? ;-)
through my unfortunate choice of words :(. The thing is that I did not
want to introduce a blocking popup (a QMessageBox), but something like
KMessageWidget [1] [2]
Ok, i know that thing.
Want an input transparent sheet-a-like message that slides "out of the
toolbar" into the top area of the messagelist?
(With a non input transparent close button on it)
Using that widget in Trojita would like require quite some porting,
though -- a hard dependency on KdeGui is something which I absolutely
don't want to do at this point. On the other hand, this widget should
then be used instead of that "load external elements from the web" in
the message view as well.
Ok, that cannot be an overlay because it would permanently cover the
message (or you'd loose the ability to load stuff afterwards)
On the other hand, one could make the headerSection persistent (out of the
actual scrollarea)
If you choose to go this route, please make it is a four-state widget:
ACK
Cheers,
Thomas
