Thanks Pete, I have a much better understanding now, also, Thanks Leo, I knew I
had a non understanding in here somewhere and it was to do with Ethics as LRH
presented them in Scientology as mentioned on the tape by Dennis.

I couldn't see it myself but I have to admit I have no idea what ethics means
and I probably have it confused with morals.

Funny, but my mind does not seem to work that way, I have no idea why people
need to put that sort of thing in their minds, I know what is right and wrong,
I don't need to look at a set of rules to tell me that.

Anyway, I will look those words up and listen to the tape again later.
Thanks for the help.
best
Mike

  HI Leo

Dennis Stephens fails to mention that Axiom 31 is dependent on the point of
view of the being taking the action. From the point of view of a human at the
emotional and physical level of the expanded tone scale actions can be judged
as having good or bad results. This is the condition that exists from tone 22
Games on down on the tone scale.

Above the level of the tone scale called Games we recognize that we are
each different viewpoints of the same being and the things we do to each other
are by mutual agreement and done to explore the effects the action will cause.
As such there is no good or bad.

Above level 22 Games is like an old man playing chess with himself. There is
no winner and no loser.

Therefore above the level of 22 games on the extended tone scale Axiom 31 is
correct as written and below level 22 Games Dennis is correct.

  Keep on TROMing

  pete

  Hi to everyone

It's the first time that I am posting here so I am not sure if I do it right.

I listened several times to the tape "The Philosophy of TROM" and I think
that I understood it quite well although it's quite hard to confront.

  Now here's my conclusions:

Good or bad is an opinion if it has to do with morals. Morals regulate games,
it is the rules how to play a specific game.

Good or bad is not an opinion if it has to do with ethics. Ethics stands
above games and regulates whether or not or how tough one should play games or
a specific game.

  Leo

Hi to Everyone and Hope you all have a good year in 2010.

I have been listening to the talk "The Philosophy of Trom" today, and it's
been hard work I can tell you.

I think I had very little understanding of Axiom 31 when I first read it
many years ago or probably I never worked it out properly for myself.

By listening to this part of the lecture over and over again I am gradually
getting it so my persistence is worthwhile.

Some very interesting data in that talk and although I am still far from
level 5 I can start to understand a bit about these goal packages.

  Best
  Mike

  HI Mickel

Axiom 31. Goodness and badness, beautifulness and ugliness are alike
considerations and have no other basis than opinion.

Reducing axiom 31 to minimum it is "considerations are cosniderations."
What part of the Philosophy of Trom leclture did you feel connected with
  this axiom?

  Sincerely

  Pete

  Hi Pete
There is something not right here in what Dennis is saying, either I have a
huge MU here or He is not explaining what he means correctly.

He seems to leave out our cultural agreements in his explanation, I can see
what Dennis means from one angle but looking into my mind I can see that
Goodness and Badness are considerations, I have particular opinions on what
is good or bad which differ from other peoples considerations or opinions.

It is true that if you tried to run a society in an Hedonistic way it would
eventually collapse but our societies have rules and regulations on which
  the majority Agree.

There are endless examples I can think up in which certain actions, beliefs
and so on are right or Good in one country or amongst certain people that
are totally wrong from another group of people viewpoints.

Also, I look at it this way, within the mind we have words, symbols, points
of agreement and so on, step outside the mind and Life IS! just as it is, a
Being has now moved beyond cause and effect, beyond any questions or needing
any answers, the polarities have merged.
  Best
  Mike
