Thanks Harry, for your reply to my post on possession.
I am of a similar spirit to you, that is putting my paws where they are not
supposed to be, and even more of a rebel type free spirit and one who gathers
data and then thinks for myself.
I don't believe anything, as believing something does not make it true, so why
would I want to believe something that is not true or may not be true.
I only want to know.
I have posted similar in the past on this list and others and I just realized
that it is almost in the same class as Dennis'; a beings main or only purpose
is "to know and be known".
I first heard the concept of intellectual function as I stated ( to know )back
in 89 at a little lecture a lady was holding in her basement near Toronto.
I just made this connection, after struggling with TROM for three years.
But her datum was that a person should categorize data into three groups"
1. know
2. don't know
3. not sure.
And not believe, as believing would actually fall under either 2 or 3 .
Opinions are of the same order.
I got off on a tangent there but back to the possession problem, I thank you
for your viewpoint.
I will listen to the tapes.
I searched L. Kins books as Jon posted, but it looks like I will have to order
the books.
I talked to him on the phone a few times when he was leaving Las Vegas in about
03 or 04 and moving to the east coast and I bought his cd. I recall getting
nothing really useful from it, at least not that i was able to gather at that
time. I thought I still had it, but it looks like I threw it out, because it
is not in my cd pile.
I am still open to other viewpoints and especially experiences from others on
entities and possession.
I have heard a fair number of stories on possession and a friend told me of
some real poltergeist activities he personally experienced.
And Jesus talks about excorsizing in the bible and telling Satan to get behind
him.
I just remembered that back in the 80s and especially in 89 I was driving
truck and I felt these invisible things hitting me in my face and all over my
head, like invisible birds diving and flying into me.
They were so bad that I could hardly do my work and they were driving me mad.
I found my self screaming at them and shooing them away like flies, but they
would disappear for a minute or so and return. There were lots of them.
So I recalled reading in the bible about how Jesus commanded Satan to get
behind him.
I thought about that and figured if Jesus could do it, so could I, as these
things must obey us.
So I did, but I did not want them behind me or near me, so I told them to eff
off and get out of my universe.
It took a while, I do not remember how long, but they eventually disappeared.
I recall more now and I recall that I used that process for many yrs. I think
it was even for a few yrs after I got into scientology in 97. I haven't had
that problem since.
So I think there is something to it.
I was quite certain that I was freed of all such entities. But maybe I am not.
I also just remember that there is a lot of information on such stuff in
Oahspe. They are called "grafters" in Oahspe.
Meaning spirits who graft on to people.
They are of people who died and do not know what to do when they get to that
dimension, because they did not do their spiritual homework while in the body.
But I would like to know everything possible about this subject from people who
are experienced and knowledgeable with scientology.
