Blainer) DaveH was referring to the approximate year--1500 AD--when Protestanism began. That means they have been in business for about 500 years--a lot longer than Mormons. The fact is though, Mormonism has caught on and is fast overtaking quite a few large Protestant denominations. Mormonism represents the sixth largest Christian denomination in the US at present. The Book of Mormon is the second largest selling book in the US, second only to the bible itself. I think these facts are significant. They mean that the Kingdom of God on earth--the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints-- is fast coming out of obscurity, as the Prophet Joseph Smith predicted it would. (Anyone out there who has not heard of JS and/or Mormonism? Raise your hands. LOL)
