I follow your thinking, but this is not the way that the New Testament writer Paul talked about being "under law." In Galatians 4:4, he tells us that Jesus was "under the law" yet we know that he never broke the law. Jesus came under the law that he might redeem those who were under the law. Gal 4:3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: Gal 4:4 But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, Gal 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
