No mention of Alan Knight in the acknowledgements.  Don't know about the footnotes as I have not finished the book.  May be able to tell you later.

Terry,

I appreciate what Frank Viola has done in trying to find "primitive Christianity."  It is through his web site that I found a link to David's writings.  I finally called david to compliment him on his writings and David invited me to join TruthTalk.

I sent Frank Viola a book long before he wrote this new one.  It is called "Primitive Christianity Crisis," by Alan Knight.  When I subsequently asked him if he had read the book, he never replied.  All of the sudden, he announced that he had this new book that he is writing that sounded just like the one I mailed to him.  I wrote Frank on a few more occasions and he never responded back.

Did Frank give any credits in footnotes or otherwise, to Alan Knight's work?  I am interested in what Frank did with the information, but I am disturbed that he never responded to me, and is now publishing his own book that sounds like the one that I gave him by another author.

I am left not knowing what to think about Frank, but I hope that he is onto something good.

PHI 1:18    What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in
truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will
            rejoice.
