You guys are just that: GUYS! You are all wet when it comes
to animals having souls—oh yes they do! I think that all thinking animals
have a soul. Insects are not thinking animals (I don’t think!) Obviously
plants don’t think, so don’t have souls. And animals (depending
upon their IQ) can be taught right from wrong; you can tell it by the guilty
look on their faces when they do wrong. I just think that dogs have the
mentality of a 2-4 year old, which is pretty adorable. And many humans have had
their very lives saved by very conscious and courageous animals, too, for that
matter. So I think all MY beloved animals will be in heaven, while yours will
bite the dust!!! J I
also like to watch the “Pet Psychic” on TV. She supposedly “communicates”
with the animals. If she is a fraud (as my husband says) then it isn’t a
sin to watch her, because she isn’t a real psychic. I’m only afraid
she is real, in which case I shouldn’t watch her show—so what do
you non-believers in animal souls think? Izzy

souls?
Just an afterthought. I think soul has to do more
with conscience
than with consiousness. Animals feel and think and
love and
protect and serve, but they have no conscience, no morals,
no inherent sense of right or wrong. Like the
little boy said,
"Never trust your dog to watch your sandwich."

Okay, how do you “understand” our souls to be
different from animals’? I think a soul is intellect, emotions,
and will: all of which animals have. Isn’t our soul that goes to
heaven? Why would God create a living thing to destroy it? I have the
impression that God never destroys a life, once created. For example,
don’t we believe that human souls live forever (either UP or DOWN).
So why wouldn’t animal souls live forever? Izzy

Animals do not have souls as we understand the
word. When they die it's the end of the road. Either a stain on
the pavement or a blob in the septic tank, unless of course, you are a
frog. In that case, there is always the chance that you will end
up a prince.

TT’ers, Hopefully you will be a bit more helpful
with this question: What happens to animal souls after they die? Izzy
