There are laws of the land that break the commanments of YHVH. I will NOT allow anyone in my family get an abortion because it is iniquity. It is murder and murder carries with it a death penalty (according to YHVH's Law). This is direct conflict with the laws of the land, so YHVH will be the one to deal out the punishment. When someone murders in Texas, YHVH uses the laws of the Republic of Texas to kill the murderer. I never said speeding was the same as murder. That is streching a point too far, Dave. You're far too smart to behave this way. Unintentional sin is still sin. Murder is iniquity. Dropping your keys, slipping when your scoring a piece of sheet metal with a utility knife is a mistake. No sin is involved because no Torah commandment or infraction was committed. Most importantly, YHVH does not view that as sin. He never has. Do I assume people make inadverant sins from time to time? Perhaps. Their walk with YHVH is toward YHVH and not for them to parade before my eyes. However, if your testimony requires a rebuke becasue of gross sin, I will be there to gently and lovingly as I can, expose that sin so the Holy Spirit can begin to correct your path. Again, read the laws regarding sacrifice in the first chapters of Leviticus. See what it says there regarding the type of sins that can be atoned. repeatedly, it mentions "inadvertently," and "by mistake." These are "mistakes" and "inadvertent" sins. You want a list of inadvertent sins? Slip-of-the-tongue swear words. Having your mouth open and begin gossiping when you are intending to curb the tendency. Not knowing something was a sin before doing it. When the speed limit was 55, it was sin to go 60. Now that the speed limit is 65 or 70, it is no longer sin to travel at 60. Use a bit of logic. We are to obey the laws of the land as long as they do not contradict the laws of YHVH (Let the Daniel haNasi be a witness). The Laws of YHVH stand forever and they do not change. Remember what it says in Scripture, "Is YHVH like a man that He should change his mind?" Men change their mind and they change their minds regarding laws, but we must obey them nonetheless otherwise we sin before YHVH. Originally, there were no speed limit signs or stop signs. Certainly you are not suggesting that it is not prudent to obey them now they're here! (I know you would not suggest it.) Sins and iniquity carries with it curses. If you get caught speeding, you get the curse of a hefty fine. If a woman gets an abortion, she has a greater chance to contract breast cancer that will kill her, she may lose the ability to have other children, a part of her dies and can never be retrieved. In either case, every unrepentant sin carries with it a certain judgment before the Great White Throne. Is speeding the same as murder? NO. No unrepentant murderer will see the Kingdom. No habitual liar shall enter the Kingdom. A man who speeds inadvertently <I think> will be ashamed of his carelessness. A man who didn't know it was a sin to do some act will probably be equally ashamed that he didn't spend time learning the Law of YHVH because as the books (Slade reads: the five books of Torah) are opened, his deeds will be judged according to what is written in those books. If his name is not written in another book that is opened, the Book of Life, he cannot enter the Kingdom. Be prepared, Dave, for your life's deeds to be compared to the book that are opened. How do you fare? You'll notice that your ability to enter the Kingdom is not weighed in the books (plural). Your entry into the Kingdom is determined by that other book (singular): the Book of Life. -- slade ---------- "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every man."
