DaveM, You are correct--very correct--on this point. A former Bishop informed me excommunication is sure to happen nowadays if you actually practice plural marriage and refuse to give it up. This is true for men and for women alike. However, I am equally certain the church still believes those who practiced it in early days were justified in doing so. I am sealed to two women, but live with and civilly married to one only. The church recognizes both sealings, but if I were to try to live with them both at the same time, in this life, I would be exed (sounds like AXED, and similar in meaning). It is basically a matter of the church showing respect for civil law--might makes right, in this case, huh? BlaineRB
