"We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea and take away the veil, so that you may see." (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 345).
He just refuted Moroni 8:18!
Psalm 90:2 says, ".. -even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God."

"If I reprove a man. and he hates me. he is a fool: for I love all men, especially these my brethren and sisters." (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 361. Journal of Discourses, vol. 6. p. II). Although Joseph obviously loved himself, one must wonder about his love for "all men" in view of what he had to say about David Whitmer (one of the Book of Mormon witnesses) in the following quote
"This poor man who professes to be much of a prophet. has no other dumb ass to ride but David Whitmer, to forbid his madness when he goes up to curse Israel: and this ass not being of the same kind as Balaam's.. . . Poor ass!" (D.H.C.. vol. 3. p. 228). On page 232 he said. "Such characters as McLellin, John Whitmer, David Whitrmer, Oliver Cowdery, and Martin Harris, are too mean to mention; and we had liked to have forgotten them."
(Here we have all three witnesses to the Book of Mormon being put down.)

".. .and I prophesy in the name of the Lord God of Israel, unless the United States redress the wrongs committed upon the Saints in the state of Missouri and punish the crimes committed by her officers that in a few years the government will be utterly overthrown and wasted, and there will not be so much as a potsherd left,. . ." (D.H.C., vol. 5, p. 394).
This prophecy was made in May of 1843. About 140 years have come and gone, but where is the evidence that the U.S. ever redressed the wrongs committed upon the Saints in Missouri? Why wasn't the government "utterly overthrown and wasted?" This is a false prophecy

Joe says "Don't employ lawyers, or pay them money for their  knowledge, for I have learned that they don't know anything. I know more than they all." (D.H.C.. vol. 5. p. 467).

"The greatest responsibility In this world that God has laid upon us is to seek after our dead." (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 356).

A scribe asked Jesus, "Which is the first commandment of all?" Jesus answered, "The first of all the commandments is. Hear, 0 Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord: and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these." (See Mark 12:28-31). Could it be any plainer? There's not even a hint here about seeking after our dead!

I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I." (D.H.C., vol. 6, pp. 408, 409).
Joseph was murdered June 27, 1844. almost one month to the day after this boast was made. Proverbs 16:18 tells us "Pride goeth before destruction, ... "

"The whole earth shall bear me witness that I, like the towering rock in the midst of the ocean, which has withstood the mighty surges of the warring waves for centuries, am impregnable ...I combat the errors of ages; I meet the violence of mobs: I cope with illegal proceedings from executive authority: I cut the gordian knot of powers, and I solve mathematical problems of universities, with truthdiamond truth; and God is my "right hand man. "(D.H.C., vol. 6, p. 78).
Where was his "right hand man" the day he was shot in Carthage, less than one year later?
