I was raised in a denomination with a social gospel which was death to me.
What we call the "social gospel" is not without merit as I read Isa 58:9-11.
Romans 2:18ff shows that there is at least a second path to God other than preaching the gospel. John

through Christ and by repentance. Giving
ppl the false idea that
they can be nice folk and make it to heaven is heresy. It may take a
while because of God's mercy and long-suffering
but eventually judgment will come and it
has come to the church I was raised
in.
This church has lost it's candlestick and is about to
close the doors. My mother tells me
there are just two men and a dog there today.
Sad, because they have a fat bankbook from
people who died and left their estate. A
beautiful 150yr old building and a fat bank book
are all they are left with. Temporal stuff that
is passing away.
When we reject God's truth he leaves us to our
own devices.
