With regards to homosexuality and this same sex marriage thing, Romans 1
aptly describes the process of spiritual degeneration that happens to a
person to cause them to become a homosexual and destitute of the things
of God.

A list of sins begins in Romans 1:26 ti include:

      1.  heterphobic behavior - both male/male  and female/female
      2.  being filled with all unrighteousness
      3.  wickedness
      4.  greed
      5.  malice
      6.  envy
      7.  murder
      8.  strife
      9.  deceit
     10.  malice
     11.  gossips
     12.  slanderers
     13.  haters of God
     14.  insolent
     15.  arrogant
     16.  boastful
     17.  inventors (of evil)
     18.  disobedient to parents
     19.  with no understanding
     20.  untrustworthy
     21.  unloving
     22.  unmerciful
     23.  approve of evil doers

And then in 2:1 (the concluding statement regarding this list of evils, of which only one is heterophobia)    .....     "for you who judge practice (are presently practicing [present indicative active]) the same things."

Repentance (a change of mind which is not the same as "quitting our sin.") is called for and away we go in this great book --- Paul saying over and over that we are sinners and sinning and the blood of Jesus saves by faith separate and apart from the demand to be fully obedient to the law (commandments) of God.

Perhaps we should all take a long look at this list  --  I bet that something on that list is a part of our individual sin problem   --  if not on this list, perhaps on one of the other lists (of sin).
