Sorry, but I guess you’ll have to
cast me out as a heretic for saying this. (It won’t be the first time, so
it doesn’t bother me.) But I don’t think that “forgiveness
preceeds repentance,” if that means were are forgiven before we repent,
or even if we do not repent. I think that repentance is a REQUIREMENT for
forgiveness. Jesus provided the forgiveness before we repented. But
repentance is the way that we open the door to receive it. And if we don’t
repent, Jesus died in vain in our case. We have crucified Him anew. Are
