But I don�t think that �forgiveness preceeds repentance,� if that means were are forgiven before we repent, or even if we do not repent.  I think that repentance is a REQUIREMENT for forgiveness.  Jesus provided the forgiveness before we repented. But repentance is the way that we open the door to receive it.  And if we don�t repent, Jesus died in vain in our case.  We have crucified Him anew.  Are we on two different pages here?
