The idea of making the Bible relevant to today is actually quite important. The original meaning can become useless unless it's brought forward. Parts of the Bible that speak of the relationship between slave and master are meaningless and could be cut out of Scripture unless the intent can be modified to enhance employee-employer relationships. Follow Torah in this manner (as I do) and you will experience blessing in your business endeavors... just as is promised in Scripture.

This is liberal thinking. This is the thinking of the Pharisees. This was the thinking of Yeshua. I am, however, still a moral conservative, but I am a liberal in the interpretation of Scripture... just like my Messiah.

Two things I need explained to me, my friend.  If Jesus never had anything good to say about the Pharisees, and in fact, warned people about the stuff they were dishing  out ,(Matt.16:6-12), how could they think alike?
Question two.  If people in other nations are still in slavery today, why is the Bible not as relevant today as it was when there were slaves in Israel and Rome?
