First, let me ask you if you recognize that sometimes the Scriptures use
words that differ slightly from our everyday understanding of the word being
used?

For example:

More than 80% of people in the United States say that they are Christians,
which means that they say that they believe that Jesus is the Messiah.
Consider the following Scriptures:

Mark 11:22-24
(22) And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
(23) For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain,
Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his
heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to
pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
(24) Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray,
believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

John 14:12-14
(12) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that
I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I
go unto my Father.
(13) And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father
may be glorified in the Son.
(14) If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Do you think that these Scriptures are a reality in the lives of all these
professing believers? If not, then perhaps we should come to understand
that what the Scriptures mean by "believe" is not exactly the same as what
many people mean when they say that they believe.

Are we on the same page here? If not, let me know and I will adjust my
answer accordingly. If we are on the same page, then read the posts I
already shared before, and also I will try another way of explaining. The
point is that Scriptures lead us to understand a meaning of intentional sin
and willful sin that is a little deeper than our everyday use of these
words. The Scriptures do teach that there is sin which is not forgiveable.

1 John 5:16
(16) If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall
ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a
sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

Peace be with you.
David Miller.
