I have observed the customs of the Orthodox Jews on airplanes also, especially on my trips to Israel. I have always had an opposite response than what Judy experienced. I was glad to see a people who revered God's Word and sought to observe it. I wish more in our culture had this kind of respect and appreciation for the Holy Word of God.
Nevertheless, I can understand Judy's response if she was perceiving their faith in the book and the phylacteries and thereby missing a relationship with Yeshua. It is sad when people have a sincere zeal toward God, but that zeal is not directed properly according to the knowledge revealed in Yeshua.
