You can disagree if you wish, but I do not see it as a sincere question, even though it is phrased as a question. It's like the question "When did you stop cheating on your husband?"

It's a statement designed to inflame. There have been others on TruthTalk who have used tactics similar to this. Thankfully they're no longer posting. There is a way to engage in conversation and disagreement without being enflaming. Judy needs to begin using love as the main motivator for her posts, because I don't hear it in these posts. If you're convinced someone is wrong, back it up with either Scripture or hypothesis, not by sticking your middle finger in someone's face.

In context, Judy is flaming Lance because her opinion is that the Son of Perdition is Judas. I am not so dogmatic because Son of Perdition is a Hebrew idiom for someone destined to perish and Scripture is clear that the one called "AntiMessiah" is one destined for destruction. Perhaps Lance is working from the vantage point that there is only one Son of Perdition, I don't know the heart of Lance, so he'll have to answer that if he so chooses.

Perhaps Judy should respectfully consider ignoring the posts from those she considers heretic[k]s and post only to those whom she agrees. That's what I do with some people on some subjects. It also helps ease the tension and increase the peace.

I respectfully disagree.  It is a sincere question.  It depends upon the attitude of the recipient whether to take offense or not.  Izzy
