Yes, Judy...makes it FULLER. For instance...you have heard...do not commit adultery. But I'm telling you if you even look upon a woman with lust in your heart...you've done it. You have heard...do not murder. But I tell you that if you even hate your brother, you have murdered. If we were conformed to His image, we would act more like Him, don't you think? Making it fuller makes it HARDER. We can only accomplish it through HIM.

So...do you think Paul became a sodomite to become as the sodomites as well? He became ALL things to ALL men. Do you think he was worshipping idols with them?

For some reason, I doubt it.

Subject: [TruthTalk] Role of Law - of God or otherwise

Not sure what the question is Kay but I'm assuming it has to do with the "Law" am I right?  Didn't Jesus say
that love fulfills all of the law and the prophets?  He fulfilled the law and we fulfill it also through Him while being conformed to His image.

In writing about becoming all things to all men so that he might win some to Christ Paul says "And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews, to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; To them that are without lae, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ) that I might gain them that are without law. To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak; I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. And this I do for the gospel's sake that I might be partaker thereof with you. Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run that ye may obtain...

Yes lawlessness means breaking God's law, it also means violating the Royal Law or the law of love.

I've got a question, then. First of all, I'm not too awful bright...so bear with me.
Let's see....you who practice lawlessness. Lawlessness....without law, or, in other words, sin. Without law....hmmmm...gimme a bit to think. Adding or taking away from the Word of God.....I've heard that before...Deut. 4:2...oh, but we took away those commands, didn't we? They aren't appropriate for today. I don't know why, but maybe we're smarter, or better, or something. God DID give the judgment over to Jesus....but Jesus Himself says....if you would have believed MOSES, you would believe me. Jesus is the Judge...but everything He does gives glory and honor to the Father.

Kay
My turn now John .. Don't want to burst your bubble but it isn't up to God who gets in and who doesn't .. because God has given all judgment in heaven and on earth over to Jesus, so he is the one who has the say so and we are given a preview
in the gospels.  Remember those who say "Lord, Lord, and he says I never did know you, depart from me, you who practice lawlessness"  Sin is lawlessness.  Adding to or taking away from the Word of God is so serious that I would think it is included.  judyt
