You know what, Judy? Our minds work totally different from each other. Don't worry about it.

Subject: Re: [TruthTalk] What is a Christian?

How does this incident change anything? Paul was advised to take that oath with the four men so as not to antagonize the unbelieving Jews. He had been warned prophetically that bonds awaited him in Jerusalem and James and the elders were trying to help him avoid the inevitable.  BTW this is supposed to have happened in June of AD59. Isn't Yom Kippur later in the year?  judyt

The incident in Acts 21 has nothing to do with the "day of atonement" and we don't know that
there was a sacrifice involved at the end of this purification rite, it could have been something else.
What do you hope to prove in bringing it up?  jt

How then, may I ask, do you rectify the sacrifice Paul made? I refer you to Acts 21:22-26. Kay

I don't claim to understand everything about Yom Kippur Slade. I just know that the day of atonement happened yearly because the blood of bulls and goats could do nothing for the conscience.  However, Jesus sacrifice is once and for all and His blood is able to remit sin.
