Dear David:

Thank you for the welcome.  I joined when I found out that Slade Henson was involved, whom I mightily respect.  By the way, will I find Elsman's skeleton on the side of the road somewhere?

Some of his pals are a bit, shall we say, obstreperous. Divisive, maybe.  Nutty, perhaps?

Anyway, I would like to join the fray on the "prophet" matter.  I think there is historical support for the role of "prophet" being treated differently than other gifts, because of its potential for abuse.  I don't think a person can declare himself a prophet, but must be acknowledged and called out to that ministry by the church, and the gift must be exercised very carefully within the church, not independently, lest it be perverted by pride or error.

Now, are you still happy I joined?

Greetings, Greg.  I don't think I have seen your name on TruthTalk before.  Welcome.  We need a good Christian lawyer here.  Attorney Elsman was here once upon a time, but we, well, uh.... let's just say that we are glad you are here.  :-)  I think you know what I mean.

Peace be with you.
David Miller.
