Actually, the "point of divergence" is to be found in this phrase:   "whether or not we will be conformed to the image of Christ."    There are no "pop theologies" on this forum, unless, of course, you are referring to the search for God innatedly expressed in the phrase "Who's your Daddy?"  (read:  Pop).
