Indeed, you may.
Misplaced? Certainly not. A much better moderater
than David (not caught up in 'fundy' legalisms)
jt: What? With only 613
Midrashes to keep up with and all the feasts. What you say? Not
caught
up in fundy legalisms? I
would think that would be a relief.
Too much on his plate? Maybe.
Inside knowledge? No. I
can 'read' people.
jt: Just like Builder Bob. Possibly
you have an insight into those who are just 'like you' a birds
of a feather type
thingy?
Up front? He was as up front as you can
get.
jt: I didn't see it. Not saying he
wasn't a nice fellow now but IMO Slade tried to accomplish things
by
innuendo and Jewish stories from
the rabbis which is hardly up front.
Let David 'take his bat and ball' and go home if
he wishes.
jt: When he elects to do that it
will be closing up shop time for all of us. I notice you fellows
are
not overburdened with gratefulness.
What has DavidM done to tweak you? Maybe you expect too
much of him, he is after all human
[in Christ] just like the rest of us.
jt: Might
I respectfully disagree with both of you?

Does anyone other than me NOT find it strange that Slade 'exited stage
left' without contacting David?
jt: If he is in fact gone then
yes, I find it strange. There is a right way to do things for those in
positions
of authority but then Slade was possibly misplaced
and has too much on his plate right now. Sometimes
it's difficult to say that
little word....
Lance: DAVID:WHATEVER GOD MAY HAVE GIFTED
YOU WITH, HE DID NOT, I REPEAT not GIFT
YOU WITH DISCERNMENT!! This departure,
along with it's circumstances was visible a mile away.
jt: Do you have inside
knowledge that David is not privy to Lance? Remember spiritual
discernment is
different from esp and/or reading minds. There's
a different Spirit involved, the latter are not gifts
sent
to the
Church.
I think it must be that 'last to know'
thingy.
jt: How is one supposed to know if
people are not up front about what they are doing. Hey! he's
only
the list-owner, he's
just the one putting his money and name on the line so that we can enjoy
ourselves
at his
expense here.

A close kin
to "discernment" is something called "empathy." JD
jt: I don't think so John. Empathy and
fleshly compassion are close kin. Deliverance in the power
of the Holy Spirit is close kin to real
spiritual discernment - for those who want to be free that
is.
