When I recieved Him He gave me power to become a son of God. JN 1:12
Before that I was outside of his family & continuously under his Wrath & Condemnation.
At that point I was Adopted into His family.
I can never be UNadopted and I will never AGAIN abide under His Wrath! PTL!
To whom He has adopted he Chastens those of outside that family are none of His.
Those Adopted SONS Gal 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
are judged and chastened NOT Condemned
DU 8 Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.
Those others outside the family are CONDEMNED
1 Co 11:22 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
Hebrews 12 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye BASTARDS, and not sons.
Just like a GOOD Father, God corrects us when we are wrong if you are never corrected by God you better check your pedigree!

2 Sam I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod

Hi Kevin; The key to this verse is to recall the times when God's wrath abideth on us. The times when God was angry with us like the time He was angry with Miriam and gave her leprosy and said it was like being spat in the face by her father. The last few times when God was angry with you, did you consider yourself a Christian? Were you a believer or had you rejected Him? What does that say about us and about God?Love,Caroline----- Original Message -----From: Kevin DeeganSent: Tuesday, March 29, 2005 1:53 PMSubject: Re: [TruthTalk] John 16:13 fg. - Perhaps it's focus is WHO not so much WHATLOL so you figured out what it meant. There are no other INTERPRETATIONS, even for those who want to weasel out from under the weight of God's word.

Hayes - Public Lecture - New Zealand - 2004)jt: So Jimmy Durante is your "fount of wisdom" Lance? (you have quoted him numerous times) andALL scripture is FOR private interpretation IYO? I say that one who approaches God's Word humbly and withouta preconceived epistemology to protect is not driven to interpret anything and is open to the Spirit of Truth. We read the text of Scripture differently and diversely. We read the texts of one another similarly. Other that saying::'you are of your father, the devil', how are we to account for and insofar as is possible, rectify this?jt: Not everyone on TT does this Lance, I for one don't always write AMEN when I agree, I just rejoice that a brother or sister is posting Truth in balance and in context (there are those two words again) I say we should just tell it like it is. There is a Christ and an anti-Christ (in place of); a spirit of truth and a spirit of error. God is not confused nor does He contradict Himself - Truth will stand when all else fails.Among those gifted and discerning participants dwelling hereon, might some suggest a way forward other that requesting that one of the now thoroughly polarized camps simply 'take a walk' leaving the other to live in harmony and agreement?jt: I say - let's wait and see. Eventually His angels will gather the "tares" out of the Kingdom and we will haveour answer without the need to speculate (of course it will be too late for those on the wrong side) and in the meantime we can learn how to love the unlovely while we wait for Jesus to bring it all together.
