That is why I qualified it with the so to speak comment. Maybe I'm too idealistic, but I would like to think Christians can feel at home when in the presence of each other. Where the saints are, there also will be found the spirit of the Lord. At least that's what I believe. Do you feel similar? So Judy....Do you feel the spirit of the Lord in TT? If not....why not? Do you think it is because Mormons are here? Do you think the spirit of the Lord would permeate this Forum if the Mormons were to leave? If not, just what do you think it would take to persuade the Lord to become a part of TT? DAVEH: As I tried to explain above, I think you misunderstood my on this. DAVEH: That is another peculiar (to me) trait shared by many TTers. Seems to me that quite a few of you eschew organized religion, viewing it as more of a problem than a solution. Yet I see too much independence in religious determination (yowee....that may be awkward....perhaps I should have said thought) as being dangerous. This may seem strange, but I think a lot of the problems of TT are caused by relying too much on intellectualism. IOW....some folks here think they can base their belief on what they understand the Bible to say rather than faith. If for some reason it can be shown that their understanding of a particular doctrine or passage is in error, then their whole belief is threatened. Hence they tenaciously hang onto their perceived beliefs for fear of being sucked into the pit by Satan. Hmmmmmmm........I think I'm rambling now....sorry..... DAVEH: I'm sure you do, Judy. And I do appreciate your concern for my eternal welfare. However....whose brand of the truth do you think I should follow? Yours....Lance's....Perry's....Kevin's....DavidM's.....John's??? DAVEH: I'd feel a little better if all the witnesses were on the same page. DAVEH: I've got the feeling Kevin's image differs from that of some of the other TTers. So far, I haven't heard any TTers reveal the image of Jesus as I perceive him, nor one I find appealing. But I'm sure most TTers consider my LDS biases to be the problem there. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dave Hansen [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.langlitz.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you wish to receive things I find interesting, I maintain six email lists...
