That is the problem you are a "Latter Day Saint" not a Christian.
DAVEH: ??? You are losing me on that, Kevin. Are you saying that as
an LDS, I can't feel the presence of the Lord?
Amos 3:3 Can two walk together,

I suppose there is a zoo-like atmosphere here. And as an
outsider, it is certainly interesting to view the home life of real
Christians, so to speak. One thing I've realized is that
if I were ever to leave Mormonism, TT Christianity is the last place
I'd seek refuge. In a perverse way, it's a fun place to visit, but not
a place I'd want to make camp.
DaveH - there is a "zoo-like"
atmosphere in the market place also, it is this way anywhere there are
people
DAVEH: But should it exist in an a Christian setting?
- but you don't get to view a person's
home life on an internet list DaveH - that is a bit of a stretch.
DAVEH: When I used the home life analogy, I knew it was a poor
choice of words that would be misunderstood. That is why I qualified
it with the so to speak comment. Maybe I'm too idealistic, but
I would like to think Christians can feel at home when in the
presence of each other. Where the saints are, there also will be found
the spirit of the Lord. At least that's what I believe. Do you feel

So Judy....Do you feel the spirit of the Lord in TT? If not....why
not? Do you think it is because Mormons are here? Do you think the
spirit of the Lord would permeate this Forum if the Mormons were to
leave? If not, just what do you think it would take to persuade the
Lord to become a part of TT?
In fact most of the ppl who write to
TT guard their personal and home lives to a fault. You may hear what
they are mulling over in the way of belief but you don't see what they
do in the privacy of their homes, or how they treat members of their
families which would be how they live.
DAVEH: As I tried to explain above, I think you misunderstood my on
this.
As for "camping here" (on TT) I would
agree, in fact I don't want to camp anyplace in this old world of sin
and shame;
DAVEH: That is another peculiar (to me) trait shared by many TTers.
Seems to me that quite a few of you eschew organized religion, viewing
it as more of a problem than a solution. Yet I see too much
independence in religious determination (yowee....that may be
awkward....perhaps I should have said thought) as being
dangerous. This may seem strange, but I think a lot of the problems of
TT are caused by relying too much on intellectualism. IOW....some
folks here think they can base their belief on what they understand the
Bible to say rather than faith. If for some reason it can be shown
that their understanding of a particular doctrine or passage is in
error, then their whole belief is threatened. Hence they tenaciously
hang onto their perceived beliefs for fear of being sucked into the pit
by Satan. Hmmmmmmm........I think I'm rambling now....sorry.....
personally I am looking for a city not
made by hands. For your own sake I do pray you will leave Mormonism
and embrace the truth of the gospel
DAVEH: I'm sure you do, Judy. And I do appreciate your concern for my
eternal welfare. However....whose brand of the truth do you think I
should follow?
Yours....Lance's....Perry's....Kevin's....DavidM's.....John's???
for it's own sake and not because of
what you observe in any person whether or not they call themselves
Christian because we are called to be witnesses
DAVEH: I'd feel a little better if all the witnesses were on the same
page.
even before God who works in us
completes His work of conforming us to the image of Christ. jt
DAVEH: I've got the feeling Kevin's image differs from that of some of
the other TTers. So far, I haven't heard any TTers reveal the image
of Jesus as I perceive him, nor one I find appealing. But I'm sure
most TTers consider my LDS biases to be the problem there.
