David - you did not copy over the the posted comments to which my first comment below refers to. And I do not remember. So you got me. I do know that we have little in common - except our zeal for the study of the biblical message and the desire to please God. tomorrow, you will teach concern the law and it will sound nothing like what I teach ------------ the point being that we do not share in many of the foundational concepts of the Message. I do not think the differences are as stark as between myself and Deegan or Shields or JTaylor. Having said that, I must admit that of late, several posts have been of an agreeable nature.

I will be teaching similar things tomorrow night except the emphasis will be on the place of the law with Romans 7 as the backdrop. I believe you follow Paul fairly closely on this, as do I. The primary difference is that I perceive that when God's consideration of you is that you are righteous, well, then you are righteous. Abraham's faith was counted to him for righteousness, but he was a pretty righteous dude in his works. That's why the Jews missed it so much. They focused upon his external attributes rather than his internal attributes. For the record, I do not see anyone as sinless based upon personal effort. I have stated such many times.
