Judy, in another post, while denying God's sovereign and unmerited salvation offering, you accuse those who accept this notion as those who are "gloring in their spots, wrinkles and blemishes" and are "building their house on sand ....."jt: You twist my words and misquote me JD - I have never denied the sacrifice of the cross for our salvation. Please don't put words in my mouth. I do have a problem with those who claim to have apprehended Christ and are stillwallowing in the mire ...I misquote NOTHING, Judy Taylor. You speak with disdain of those who "glory in their spots, wrinkle and blemishes." Those are IN FACT your words. You make the accusation WITHOUT A SINGLE VARIFYING EXAMPLE -- WITHOUT EVEN AN EFFORT AT SAME. Your refusal to own up to what you write is most frustrating.(I cannot copy your posted words because of the little "J" thingy that attached itself that post.... it puts my machine into some kind o funk.) What is sad about this observation is this: your persistence in the accusation that we "glory in our" failings !!!jt: You do understand that we have different gospels don't you JD? My gospel teaches that the sacrifice and New Birth are just the entry or doorpoint. We are expected to go on by faith and expect His grace to complete the work He has begun in us. You OTOH have many imes claimed it is impossible to be without daily sin.Yes, I understand the difference. You do understand I believe that what "gets one saved" is that which keeps one saved - effort (obedience has nothing to do with the maintenace of "salvation" but everything to do with the healthy maintenance of our very lives. As far as I am concerned, such is a malicious accusation in view of the fact that it has been denied on so many occasions -- you preferring to continue an ugly and false stereotype of those who glory in the God of their salvation.jt: You need to make up your mind JD - This is not a "malicious accusation" I am merely repeating your own statements I agree that it is ugly but it is not false. No you are not merely repeating anyone's wording !!!!! No one has said they glory in their failure ----------------- absolutely no one and your refusal to admit this goes to the degree of bellion within which you are trapped. God is bigger than this - seeing that your heart and commitment is, indeed, for and unto Him. I do not confuse these two concerns. But such is the dualism you face today.I venture to say that there is not a person on this forum, who are accepting God's sovereign plan of salvation, who takes any pleasure at all in knowing that we are of such failing that God has no choice but to accept us as we are, offering a salvation that is both immediate and completely effectual - [God] hoping our acceptance in faith will open our eyes and hearts to an obedience that is in demonstration of this fait complii (as our resident theologians have put it).jt: God does have a choice; when you are God you don't HAVE to do anything. Look at the end of the book; the ppl who are outside the gate "The dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loves and makes a lie" It's good to have one's name in that book of life.By His choosing, God is limited by our willingness to accept or reject His service and help. You deny this also !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Monologue presses the denied stereotypes -- dialogue accepts other's explanations and cooperates this into the discussion. When this does not happen -- there can be no coming together. The working of God in this _expression_ of community is denied. Jdjt: Are you saying that God's Word is a "stereotype" JD?What I said is plain enough.
