man has no such covenant--you made this up;
it's
patenly unilateral and there's nothing in biblical writng to justify such a
comment written law and prophecy have always had one common mission
motive and method which JC taught us smartly,
e.g.:
If you, then, though you are evil, know how to
give good gifts to your children, how
much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask
him! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to
you, for this sums
up the Law and the
Prophets.
jt: Jesus has the covenant with God the
Father and we get in on it by faith with his permission. The above
does not change anything. Love has always been the standard. Compare
the 10 Commandments with the Sermon on the Mount. The difference now is that
he enables us to do it by his Spirit and to whom much is given much is
required.

there is no NT segment where law and grace are considered on equal
footing--grace has always existed--law 'was added' in (a) time, for a
particular historical context (Rom 5:20)
jt: The law was added to contrast man's
filthiness to God's holiness which is the standard for fellowship with Him.

grace which
transcends history is exclusive of law in every NT context where they
appear together Rom 6:14, 15 has always been true--there,
grace is not dependant on anyone's explanation/s grace, perennialy
present, cannot be 'set aside' (Gal 2:21), certainly not for any/one's temporal
laws
jt: God's temporal law was given
through his mercy and grace but those who despised it died by the testimony
of two witnesses. Trampling it underfoot is doing despite to the spirit of
grace and will reap the same judgment.
grace, not law
which had to be added later, was God's guide in dealing w/ Abraham
(Gal 3:18)--hundreds of years before Sinai which even Moses' and his
brother Aaron and sister Miriam defied, even while God's
grace overcame them indeed some ppl abandon grace or turn away from grace
for law practices, like you want us to do (illicitly, acc to the NT,
Gal 5:4)

it in sum, grace has nothing to do with law except in slick but
confusing semi-dispensational thinking like yours

what renews the mind and converts the soul. You can despise it if you
