Why do you not believe it possible for us (mortals) to have existed in the pre-mortal existence?
There is no Biblical evidence
There is no scientific evidence
In fact the bible is contrary to this view
Job was not there at the creation:
Job 38:1-7 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

Man's spirit is formed within him, just like back in the garden when God breathed life into the physical body he FORMED from the dust:
Zechariah 12:1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
Physical first, then spiritual, LDS have it backwards:
1 Corinthians 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
