This is no  solution.   Or we would find total agreement on issues in great numbers somewhere on this planet.  It certainly does not exist here on TT and we have been actively pursuing doctrinal agreement for sometime, now.   Our Mormon friends actually think they are in the "faith once delivered."   So do the Baptists and Preby's and Methodonists, and the poor old Episcopals and most definitely the RCC and the Apostolics and the E.V Free but not Cheap and , the multitude of "non-denominational types, the Oneness folk  and , and,   need I go on?   In light of the tears of Christ for unity   (Joh n 17), this very issue is perhaps the most important of all.   The standard simply cannot be anything that is based on thinking things out.   You and I have proven this to be true  --  you and I alone.

I agree, doctrines are always divisive. Agreement comes when we yield
