Okay, then, tell
me. If a true Believer “has” a demon, where does he “have” it?
And what is the
difference between “oppression” and “possession”? In your opinion.
izzy
jt: A demon is a spirit and there are two spiritual laws
operating in the earth today.
We have all been trained in
the law of sin and death; then there is the law of the spirit of life in
Christ.
My belief is that spirit
communicates with spirit and our brain cells translate what we're hearing
from
the spirit. Believing a
lie is being influenced by doctrines of demons. I'd turn the question
around.
It's not whether or not the
believer has a demon - it's whether the demonic has the believer.
They
work under the cover of
darkness. Oppression is being hindered and hamstrung. Possession
is
when the demonic has full
control of the person's will. Should not happen to a genuine
believer.
You are asking the wrong question, as I wonder about
these things myself from time to time. Can a true Believer have a
demon? Be "oppressed"? Be possessed? What's the difference??? I'd like to
hear other opinions. izzy
jt: Yes, Yes, and No. We need to
understand that there are two kingdom's
involved here and the Christian is in
the process of transferring from one to
the other. We are all oppressed
from time to time and God allows the enemy
to test us. Years ago I read a
book called "Blumhardt's battle" about a
German
pastor with a severely demonized
parishoner. He spent many hours praying
with her and declaring the victory of
Christ until she was entirely free. jt
Are all illnesses "demonic" in your opinion -- whether
physical or mental or a combination of both? Martin Luther was a textbook
bi-polar. Do you think that precluded him from being a "Christian," as in a
true believer?
Just curious what you think,
Bill
