Awake, thou that sleepest!! Translation: Stop
fiddling whilst Rome (America) is burning!! Western civilization is imploding.
Wrong premise ... One does not sleep Lance
just because they do not continually lament the sad state of a world
without Christ.
You continue to spout this fundy biblicist
philosophy. It most assuredly is not the 'ALL truth' that you have referenced
over the years.
What "fundy philosophy" Lance? I adhere to
neither.. but then what does it matter what I say - What you think is much
more
important when elevated opinions are where it
is at.
Rant on if you wish, Judy. It's like the gal in
the endzone with his Jn 3:16 sign or, a gal with a sandwich board reading
'Repent,
for the end is at hand'.
Isn't this what you have just stated above
Lance? Rebuking me for sleeping while America burns and Western
civiliation implodes
(why are you leaving out 3rd world countries?)
while I should weep with Canadians and other liberals?
This 'stuff' is OK for the choir in your church
but, for the gal on the street it's a joke. (They would be correct to find it
amusing)'
I came from the street Lance; I didn't hatch
here at this keyboard. Let me tell you ppl who are "in Christ" KNOW Him
and His
sheep hear HIS
voice. Better make sure you are not counted with the
goats....
Why?
We have the same Word he used to defeat the
adversary and that He followed. We have also been given the
same Spirit to empower and help us and lead us into
ALL truth or don't you believe what is
written Lance? jt
If all that Jesus did was to 'leave us an
example' then we're 'cooked'.
From what I recall you read this into some
passage in the book of Revelation JD. However if you got
someone
trained in statistics to compare the number of
those at the end to all who have ever lived what would
this percentage
look like? The walk
of faith is not a list of Gk words and/or doctrines JD so these are a
moot point. We must overcome
where A&E failed. Jesus did it while in the flesh and He left us an
example - His are the steps we are to follow. It is
working out your own salvation with fear
and trembling rather than a religious
good 'ol boy network who all subscribe
to the same self serving 'big picture' -
and that's my monologue for today. jt
Again , you make comment that has little to do with what I have
written. At least you are consistent.
You really like the sound of the "narrow road" thingy, don'e
you? I prefer the part that says there are so many, they
cannot be counted.

So?
We may be at different places in our
pilgrimage but are basically travelling the same road which is the
narrow path with he strait gate.
Whereas others on TT appear to be
breathing rarified air and on
the
broad road ... jt
I have a definition and fully understand what "judgmentalism" is. Nothing double
tongued about it. Give me your definition and I'll
share mine. The clear reason why you Wingers refuse
to present a list of doctrines upon which we must all
agree has to do with the impossibility of the matter
-- your list, Deegan's list, Judy's list or DM's list would not
be the same !!! So you all pretend to agree with each
other while refusing, at the same time, to offer specifics as to
this mythological list. You judge others to
hell but refuse to be
accountable. &n bsp; Ditto on this definition for
judgmentalism. You
all cannot give a definition that does not find yourselves at
fault.
But I already knew this.

How can you be so double-tongued, JD? You accuse me of that all the
time!!! iz
I believe it is spelled "judgmentalism," Bub, and why bring up
the word anyway - no one on the right has a clue as to
its definition. Hard to accuse someone of it when you don't know
what it is.

He did indeed 'hit sin on the

out there? (Judy, Kevin, Iz) At whom/with whom do we see His
anger most expressed? At whom/with whom do we see the
opposite? Why look, it's the very ones y'all choose to hate,
demonstrate against etc. Hmmmmmmmmmm strange hugh? Do we all
read the sa me Bible?

Why arn't you talking about the "gay
issue?" We are supposed to minister the way Jesus did
as He is our example
and He always hit sin head on ie He confronted the rich young
ruler with his heart of covetousness which he was not
yet willing to part with. Jesus didn't
chase
after him and keep talking about grace. He did
minister to those God showed
Him and warned them to go and sin no more lest a
worse
thing come upon them. But He didn't minister to
everyone he met.
Today we take sin so lightly because we don't
believe God means what He says or that the chaos in our
lives is rooted
in sin and unrighteousness. God is supposed to bless this mess because of grace, because he loves
us so much and this
is the lie. He will not do it
because
to do so He would have to violate His own Word. You
can talk grace till the cows
come home but until this person hears the truth
and is willing to repent from the heart God will not
honor your words JD.
Well,
maybe God has put us together "for such a time as
this." Right now
the relationship is something of a
novelty -- at least for
him. My conversation with him is different
from "the others." So, maybe I might be
able to make sense to him. What I am
not doing is talking about the gay issue, per se. He is
but I am trying to get him to stop and examine what
it means when it says that "Christ died for us while we
were YET sinners." My concern is that
he understand the gospel of grace and , and, and,
what it really mean s to be "saved."
The new birth will produce - given
time ............... so that is where
I begin -----------&n bsp; with the new birth.
