David: You speak of 'MY BIBLE' meaning yours, of course. You wield your sword competently, David. As I said elsewhere, there are those who hang on YOUR interpretation(s) both on this forum and in your church. Me, I see 'em for what they are; the constructions of a self-taught man. (good though they may be on occasion)

Why return simply to confuse some younger believer rather than permitting them to be taught by the Word and the Spirit?

At least you did receive a modest 'hand', if not a standing ovation, from the 'Iz corner'. That musta made ya feel good?

As 'believers, we 'participate' (in our relationship with Him

against the truth of the gospel.

Lance, with all due respect, in the time I have known you through email here on TruthTalk, you consistently judge others using yourself as the standard.
YOU are not the standard by which we are to judge what is possible or what
is impossible.

A better yard stick to use would be the Bible. Yes, I know, everybody
disagrees about what the Bible says, but that is simply because most people do not obey the Bible. Those who obey the Bible hear what it has to say, and
they do come to agreement. That does not mean that everyone has identical
perspectives. We are not meant to have identical perspectives. Rather, it
means that we are in complete agreement, whether it be like Paul and James
on being justified by faith or justified by works, or whether it be like
Izzy and me on the subject of holiness.

Now my Bible says that those who are practicing righteousness is righteous
even as HE (Christ) is righteous (1 John 3:7). Surely you are not going to
argue that Jesus Christ himself was inadequate or incomplete, are you? If
not, then we have no reason to believe your false gospel that everybody
inadequately and incompletely are in relationship with Christ and each
other.

1 John 1:7 says that if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another. This does not speak about inadequate or
incomplete fellowship. This passage speaks about a reality available to all
those who will believe the gospel.

Col. 2:10 says that we are complete in him. Why do you say, "we are not
complete in him, but we all inadquately and incompletely, EVERY DAY,
participate in our relationship with him"? Please speak for yourself and
not me on this issue. You do not represent me or Christ on this issue. You
should say "I" rather than "we," but better yet, learn the truth of the
Scriptures and then get your mouth lined up with God's Word. Confess what
God's Word says rather than what your experience tells you about your past
life. Change cannot happen if you are always looking back. You must look
forward to Christ, and reach for him, and apprehend him, always reaching
forward in an adequate and complete manner that continually gets better
every day.

Peace be with you.
David Miller.
