Exactly. That IS the problem with
scripture for some with accepting it on face value instead of using “critical
thinking”. (Why do the most critical people push that concept???) iz From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Behalf Of Terry Clifton The big problem with the Bible is that it does not
always say what you want it to say, therefore it is not totally reliable.
If you start trying to go strictly according to the book, then you have no
latitude to see Jesus as you would like Him to be. From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] First, the Bible
contains the Word of God . Secondly, Jesus and the Bible
are two very different things. Let's not make an idol of the
Book. It is what it is -- but it is not something to be
worshipped, Christ is. JD I believe the written Word as
scripture is just one form of THE WORD of God. It cannot be brushed aside as less than that IMO. izzy -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]

subset of the Word. The script can be considered secondary to the Logos himself because the world is not big enough to contain all the texts that could be
written about Him. None of this is meant to undermine the authority of
Scripture. Peace be with you. ---------- "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that
