It sounds scary because it is a big lie, Dean, but that is the way some people think. If you don't like what the Bible says, either say "That is not what it really means", or ignore the Bible as an outdated book full of stories that are not really real. The Catholics in the United Kingdom are re writing the Bible at present as are the lesbians here in the USA.
