actaully he did.   he placed apostles, evangelists, prophets, pastors and teachers in the Chruch.   Barth would be a teacher.   You would be a member.

Did Jesus say that after He had gone to the Father he would send a real smart theologian by the name of
Barth to "unfold the revealed work attested in the scriptures" JD?.  Of course not - and we have the Bereans
for an example - they were able to search the scriptures daily to see if what Paul taught was true. The diligent
among us should be searching the scriptures daily to see if what Barth is teaching is true - that is if they have
the time to wade through his massive tomes.

Judy, would you say that the less you have the Holy Spirit to teach and guide you, the more you need Barth and others? iz

From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Judy Taylor  Was Barth inspired or misguided in his belief that the "task of theology is to unfold the revealed word attested in the Bible" when Jesus' own Words teach us that this is the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of those who believe and follow Him?
